Yes, it is. Hopefully I'll be able to retrieve some of the hard drive (photos and writings, music and projects) and be able to get online again soon.
Until then, infrequent posts. I am now living by dongzhimen with a 21 year old girl from Sichuan and her puppy. Tomorrow is my last day teaching and after that I don't have too much of a plan other than experiencing Beijing and coming stateside in June, hooray!
Today my new roommate and I went shopping and while eating some street noodles in someone's house, the proprieter came in and said, hey, the officials are here, could you all just be really quiet and stay here for like 5 minutes? I'll come back and get you out the back in a little bit. OK!

i saw your dad two days ago at the co-op. he seemed to be well! i haven't seen your mother for months, but i owe your folks a tea visit, so i'm sure i'll swing up to the ridge soon.
there are blossoms everywhere here at home at the moment...the air is sweet as i drive around with my car windows open. there have been many big beautiful fish pulled out of the creeks and the kickapoo as well.the whippoorwill is back, too! and a bear! did you hear? a big black bear is hanging out in the area! eating bird seed and smashing up beehives! oh, and i shan't forget to mention the wolf (but, alas, it is dead...shot by a turkey hunter:( strage confusion there!)

glad to see you're back on the interwebs, if only temporarily. This blog's got really good stuff (your comment-disabled poetry blog, too), so hopefully you'll post more frequently once the cpu situation gets resolved.
